Sreet tracker.
I would love to build a street legal flat tracker twin race bike but first I got to find the right doner bike that is with in the rules of AMA flat track racing.
The rules for AMA Flat track are.
Top Speed: Over 130 mph
Engine Displacement: 550cc - 1250cc with the following restrictions, racing only engines may not exceed 750cc, engines greater than 1000cc are restricted to air/oil cooled.
Eligible Bikes: Aprilia RSV 1000/550, BMW FS 800, Buell CR1125/XBR/1200, Ducati 748/848, Harley-Davidson XR 750/XR1200/883, Honda RS 750, Kawasaki 650 Ninja, KTM 990 Super Duke, Suzuki TL 1000/SV 650/680/750, Triumph Bonneville Scrambler/America/Speedmaster, Yamaha Tenure 750
Minimum Weight: 310 lbs with fuel.
Fuel: Sunoco Supreme 112
Front Tire: Dunlop/Goodyear DT-11 27.0x7.0-19 D3616/CD-5
Rear Tire: Half Mile and Mile: Dunlop/Goodyear DT-11 27.5x7.5-19 D1637/CD-8
Short Track and TT: Dunlop/ Goodyear DT11 27.5x7.5-19 D1657/CD-5
A cheep thrashed ninja 650 could work.
Or a Harley 883... I've never seen myself on a Harley but I could make an exception for a flat track bike.
Maybe even a SV650 but they don't tend to be cheep enough.
This is a long way off but I wanted to get the ball rolling and hear your guys thoughts on it.
Thanks for looking.

Re: Sreet tracker.
Just did some searching and the picking are slim for a good bike I'll have to keep an eye out for a good candidate.
I do have my RD 350 that I could set up more street tracker but I would not be able to race it in a good class.
If I laced up a set of 19" wheels, make a new swing arm for for the bigger wheels, built a set of sweeper pipes and do a lot of suspension work it could be a fun hoon bike, must do some more research...
Check out this TZ250 flat tracker some thing along these lines.
Or this Kawi triple.
Or this R5 (I think)
